Tried and tested CC creams

CC stands for colour corrector or complexion corrector.. they are essentially tinted moisturisers that are used to correct skin imperfections, as in redness, pigmentation and dark spots. They are thicker than BB creams and give more coverage.

I am a massive lover of CC creams, they give that little bit of coverage when you don’t want to wear full coverage, so here’s my verdict, tried and tested, thumbs up and thumbs down…

BEST ALL ROUNDER
IT Cosmetics have run the world with there incredible CC cream, it covers redness perfectly, covers pigmentation and gives the most incredible glow and doesn’t set into lines or pores. The only downside is the shade range and they come out a little or the warm side, great for summer golden skin.

BEST FOR COVERING REDNESS

This CC cream has encapsulated pigments that adapt to your skin tone… It’s pretty amazing!
Erborian is a well known French-Korean brand specialising in skincare and BB, CC creams, they have mastered the art of finding anti-redness primers. With only 4 shades they are a little limiting but it covers redness and gives a flawless finish. It is packed with skincare hero’s leaving it a super hydrating option.

BEST FOR GLOWY SKIN

Charlotte Tilbury’s glowy skin is bay far the nicest glowy skin, it gives your skin a beautiful glow, that isnt too over the top but looks need I say it again, beautiful, the name says it all! Shade range is great, like most CC creams it doesnt last all day and I would say out of them all this gives the least coverage, so if you havent got redness or pigments this CC cream is great for that little extra coverage.

BEST BUDGET OPTION

ELF is a great brand offering seriously good products at a reasonable price and this CC hydrating CAMO CC cream is great coverage, good shade range and nice glowy finish, I also like the fact it doesnt break the bank. The only down side to this was it even though it was hydrating, on days my skin felt dry in the winter months, it did set into my lines. So if you have already hydrated plump skin its a fab option, I just had to make sure I had a super hydrating base as my skin can be dry.
